Hyaluronic acid is naturally present in the body, and is found in the skin, among other places. Hyaluronic acid retains water and gives the skin tone. The body’s natural supply of hyaluronic acid decreases with age. A Juvéderm treatment replenishes both hyaluronic acid and hydration within the skin. Juvéderm developed a special technique called Vycross, which produces a filler with a natural and long-lasting effect. Juvéderm is produced by Allergan: a specialist pharmaceutical company and 35 years pioneer in the field of aesthetic medicine treatments. Juvéderm fillers are extremely safe and have been used to treat wrinkles no less than 16 million times.
Which areas can be treated?
Juvéderm products can be used to combat many signs of skin ageing. This includes filling fine lines, wrinkles and deeper folds, as well as adding volume to parts of the face that would benefit from a boost. One of the Juvéderm products is specially formulated to significantly improve skin moisture, making the face, neck, décolleté and hands soft and smooth.
Products
The Juvéderm product range is extensive. Our specialists will select the best option for you based on your skin type.

Treatment
Juvéderm is injected under the skin using a very fine needle. Depending on the area and extent of the treatment, an anaesthetic cream or solution may be applied to the skin beforehand. The treatment usually lasts between 15 and 30 minutes. The results are instant and last between 12 and 18 months, depending on the product used.
Treatment plan
One of the properties of Juvéderm is that it promotes the production of new collagen in the skin. To take advantage of this, your practitioner may recommend a course of treatments. Sessions will be spread over a number of months to allow the skin time to produce new collagen, thereby enhancing the results of the subsequent treatment further.
